She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Clifford Dews and Essie Marie Dews (Hawkes); her brother Robert Hugh Dews; her son-in-law Michael C. Rice; and her husband Christian.
She is survived by: her sisters, Merle (Wood), Peggy (Joe Cook) and Lyndall (Wendell Springston); and her children, Carol (Ed Gaunt), Vivian (Mike Gosey), Gayle (Tom Hines), Hugh (Tracey Neal) and Jennifer (Rice). She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
