With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elma Gilliam Bledsoe of Blackwater, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 19, 2026 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Gilliam and Rosalee Gilreath Gilliam; her husband Milford Bledsoe; and her brothers, JD and Claude Gilliam.
She is survived by: her sister Thelma Bledsoe; her children, Kathy Gilliam (Rick), Manard Bledsoe (Cammie) and Travis Bledsoe (April); her grandchildren, Josh Gilliam (Morgan Campbell), Jordan Gilliam (Samantha Brown), Savanah Bledsoe, Eva Bledsoe, Emmitt Bledsoe and Lidia Bledsoe; and her great grandchild Hallie Maylyn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
