We are sad to announce that on December 9, 2022, at the age of 84, Hessie Lillian Hurd of Blackwater, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Hurd and Callie Hurd; her siblings, Ella May Hurd, Velvie Hurd, Vivian Lambert and John Henry Hurd; and her brother-in-law Joe Lambert.

She is survived by : her siblings, Hazel Hurd and James Winford Hurd (Ruth); her sister-in-law Brenda Hurd; her nieces, Joetta Smith (Doug), Darlene Smallwood (Sam) and Mandy Mullins (Jeremiah); her great-niece Callie Racheal Smith; her nephew Brent Wuerderman (Liz); and her great-nephews, Jacob Alexander and Justin Smith (Christina). She is also survived by relatives and friends.
