He is survived by: his children, John Lester Jr. (Renee) of Blairs, VA and Mary Lester of Chesapeake, VA; his siblings, Ella and Charles; his grandchildren, John Lester III (Karley), Owen, Ari, Deuntay (Ben), Daniel and Ceiria; his great grandchild Nolan Lester; and his niece Susan James. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
