She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Harris Layton and George Layton; her husband Billy Monroe Sampson; her son Barry Michael Sampson; her grandson Tony; and her sister Virginia Tupper.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tina Stein (Johnny) of Dry Fork, VA, Terri Dunn (Steve) of Chatham, VA and Tracy Sampson Hall (Tony) of Dry Fork, VA; her grandchildren, Brandy, William, Jay and Alston; and her great grandchildren, Rayne, Emily, Chloe, Luke of Sophia, J. D., Oliver and Levi. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant Methodist Church (8060 US-29, Blairs, VA 24527).
