He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Asa and Hazel Carty; wife: Billy Jean Walters Carty; daughters: Sherry Margaret Carty Vetere (Pete) and Sandra Jean Carty Kim (Arnold); grandchildren: Gabe Vetere, Eva Vetere, Penelope Kim, and Oliver Kim; sister: Loretta Carty; brothers: William J. Carty and Lowell Carty; officiant: Rev Alan Ashworth; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bland Funeral Chapel (530 Main St, Bland, VA 24315). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the Rose Hill Cemetery (169 Edgewood Ln, Bastian, VA 24314).
