She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Paul, Sr. and Blanche Walters Bernard of Crandon, VA.. She is survived by: her husband Michael Dean; her children, David S. Harden of Bland and Deanna; her son-in-law John Smith of Bland; her granddaughters, Brandi, Shannon Perkins of Pulaski, Tori Smith of Bland and Madison Harden of Keymar, MD; her great grandchildren, Marlie and Maklen Perkins of Pulaski; and her mother-in-law Dolly Dean of Roanoke. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel (2508 Walkers Creek Valley Rd, Pearisburg, VA 24134). A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mechanicsburg Cemetery. A reception was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel (2508 Walkers Creek Valley Rd, Pearisburg, VA 24134).
