He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond "Corky" Sarver and Joy Sarver; his parents-in-law, Joe and Hila Romano; and his sister-in-law Sharon Meadows.

He is survived by: his wife Bridget Romano Sarver; his daughter Ashleigh Beasley (Matt) of Christiansburg, VA; his grandchildren, Lucas, Savannah and Grace Reed (Travis) of Bland, VA; his great grandchildren, Addie, Chris, Ella, Eden, Scarlett, Troy and Thomas; his son Andy Sarver of Bland, VA.; his siblings, Steve Sarver (Alice Ann), Doug Sarver (Debbie) and Marianna Sarver; and his siblings-in-law, Vince, Denise Romano, Tim, Sharon Romano, John Kevin, Charlene Romano and R. L. Meadows, Jr.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
