She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester "Les" Gillespie and Mildred May Mears Gillespie; her brother Jimmy Gillespie; and her aunt Juanita Shrieves. She is survived by: her sons, Edward Howard Hughes (Dee), Christopher Howard Hughes (Amy) and John Howard Hughes (Jacob Dement); her grandchildren, Bevin Webster (Steve), Jennifer Hughes (Eric Breithut) and Coty Hughes (Alexandra); her daughter-in-law Chrisy Hughes; her great grandchildren, Aubrey, Olivia, Tucker, Layla, Fallon and Lucian; her brothers, Gary Gillespie (Ramona) and Charles Gillespie (Carolyn); her cousin William "Billy" Gillespie; and her siblings' children, Angie Perry and Larry Gillespie.
