He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Lee Taylor, Sr. and Mildred Coulborn Taylor; his sister Nancy; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Taylor and Johnny Fox.
He is survived by: his wife Caroll Kay Birch Taylor; his sons, Richard Taylor, Jr. (Erika) of Bloxom, Kenny Taylor (Shannon) of Atlantic and Mikey Taylor (Sallie) of Nelsonia; his grandchildren, Shane, Payton, Charlie, Erin, Alyssa and Nora Taylor; and his siblings, Garland "Buddy" Taylor, Jr. of Temperanceville, Dawn Fox, Linda Linton (Barry) of Saxis and Wayne Taylor (Valerie) of Sanford. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
