He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ray and Mary Hinkle (Warner); his wife Ruby Grace Hamrick; his granddaughter Jodie Will; and his siblings, Bobby, Berlie, Jason Hinkle, Ruthleen Hinkle and Rosie Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Wilson (Michael) of Blue Grass, Elsie Champ of Petersburg, WV and Carroll "Bill" Hinkle, Jr. of Blue Grass; his siblings, Dallie Hinkle (Lois) of Blue Grass and Wilma "Tootsie" Strawderman of Broadway; and his grandchildren, Justin Will, Tommy Champ, Wendy Weasenforth and Julie Hinkle. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
