She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Wilton and Edith Pearl Blackwell Houser; her husband Alfred Watson Persinger III; her daughter-in-law Fonda; and her brothers, Lyle Wilton, Erskine Lee and Ralph Lewis Houser.

She is survived by: her sons, Duane Alfred Persinger (Peggy) and David Erskine Persinger (Stacie); her grandchildren, Cody Duane, Kooper, Andrew Persinger, Brooke and Samantha Persinger; and her sister Elaine Taylor. She is also survived by her nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Old Providence ARP Church (1005 Spottswood Road, Spottswood, VA 24476).
