It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Marie (Shirk) Harold in Blue Ridge, Virginia, who passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Paul and Martha Ruth Knicely Shirk; her husband Lenford Harold; her son Lenford Dale Harold; and her brothers, Ralph Shirk and Marion Shirk (Tiny).
She is survived by: her son Justin Harold; her sister-in-law Ruth Shirk; her siblings, Virginia Cook, Arlene Atkins (Steve), Stella Knott (Jake) and Leroy Shirk (Pattie); her nieces, Jennifer Coakley and Angela Stanley; her caregiver Helen; and her pet Dixie.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service (208 S Main St, Bridgewater, VA 22812). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Spring Creek Church of the Nazarene (8863 Nazarene Church Rd, Bridgewater, VA 22812).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
