He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary A. James Bowen and Marvin M. Bowen, Sr.; and his stepson Mark Tharp. He is survived by: his wife Betty Horner Bowen; his daughter Mary Elizabeth Bowen; his grandchildren, Maxwell F. Bowen Wingrave and Mary M. Bowen Wingrave; his siblings, Mary Owen and Jimmy Bowen; his stepdaughter Debbie Tharp; and his stepgrandchildren, Amanda and Brandon Tharp. He is also survived by step-great-grandchildren.
