She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Walker and Keturah Mae Crews; the father of her children Rodney Stephen Sawyers; her daughter Theresa Anne Green; and her siblings, Keturah Anne Crews and John Leonard Crews.

She is survived by: her sons, Russell Stephens Sawyers (Wendy) of Culpeper, VA, Rodrick Steven Sawyers (Jeanna) of Goshen, VA and Rhett Scott Sawyers of Haymarket, VA; her grandchildren, Ashlea Lundberg (Jeff), James Green, Eric Halle, Misty Green, Katherine Sawyers and Mason Sawyers; her great grandchild Tucker Lundberg; and her brother Daniel Walker Crews (Robin).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 124 Park Street SE, Vienna, VA 22180.
