It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Smith of Blue Ridge, Virginia, who passed away on January 5, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Edith Scales; her children, Shelia Campbell and Arvin Scales; and her siblings, Margaret Porter, Lucille Kellam, Ruby Scales, William Scales and Lafartane Scales.
She is survived by: her children, Flora Keen (Robert) of Martinsville, VA and Anthony Smith of Collinsville, VA; and her sister Helen Barnett of Cleveland, OH. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
