He was predeceased by: his father Garney Glen; his cousin Paul W. Smith; and his grandparents, Thomas E., Lydia Yates Smith, Elijah and Edna Matney Looney.
He is survived by: his mother Susie Ann Looney Smith of Vansant, VA; his children, Travis Eugene Smith (Leah) of Roanoke, VA and Amber Nicole Crowder (Aaron) of Roanoke, VA.; and his siblings, Esther Hagy (Steve) of Abingdon, VA, Mary Davis (Rick) of Vansant, VA and Timothy Smith (Melissa) of Mocksville, NC.. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
