It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Mae McCoy of Bluefield, Virginia, born in Hurley, Virginia, who passed away on November 19, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her daughter Sharlene "Charley" McCoy; her parents, Burke Johnson and Betty Smith Johnson; her daughter Diana Lynn Ball; her siblings, Nora Summerford, Jane Smith, Mary Helen Wescott, Carma Johnson, Blanche Riekoff, Betty Jean Kiser, Richard Johnson, Lois "Jenny Ann" Kennedy, Patton Johnson, Randy Johnson, Edward, Dale Johnson, Burke Johnson Jr. and Those; her son A. Brian McCoy (Pat Bowles McCoy) of Bluefield, VA; her brother Joe Ed Johnson of Slidell, LA; her grandchildren, Taylor McCoy (Allison McCoy) of Christiansburg, VA and Dana Furstnau of Midlothian, VA; her great grandchildren, Anthony Furstnau of Rural Retreat, VA and Alexis Darlington of Midlothian, VA; and her great great grandchild Oaklynn Rose Darlington of Midlothian, VA..

She is survived by : her husband Archie R. McCoy; and her close friends, Browning, Maggie, Malcom and Sandra. She is also survived by children, and cared deeply for her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to The American Heart Association or Bluefield Union Mission.
