He was predeceased by: his parents, Bethel Marion and Sadie Ann Stevenson; his wife Ruth Stevenson; his son George W. Stevenson Jr.; his granddaughter Erica Layne Hall; and his siblings, Samuel Woodrow Stevenson, Bill Edison Stevenson, Thelma Jane Stevenson, Gladys Mae England and Geraldine V. Green.
He is survived by: his children, James H. Stevenson (Diana) of Lexington, N. C., Lenora Stevenson of Fuquay-Varina, N. C., Debbie Skeens (Mike) of Beckley, WV, Tim Stevenson of Mullens, WV and Sandra Deeb of Bluff City, TN; his daughter-in-law Cathy Stevenson of Princeton, WV; and his grandchildren, Ernie, Anthony, Jami, Mickey Stevenson, Michelle Quinn, Billy Swope, Susan Young, Chris, Chad Skeens and Koree Deeb. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; and a host of friends and neighbors.
