We are sad to announce that on November 7, 2025, at the age of 82, Linnie Hale Hammonds of Bluefield, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Harman Pruett and Harvey William Pruett; her grandmother Suzie Sluss; her sister Anna Aliff; her daughter Cindy Miller; and her granddaughter Michelle Hammonds.
She is survived by: her children, Jeannie Spence (Eddie Spence) of Bluefield, WV, Karl Gene Hammonds Jr. of Bluefield, WV and Sidney Russell Hale of Springville, VA.; her grandchildren, Jennifer Tate (Justin Tate), Jessica Howerton, Randy Howerton Jr., Randall Doss Jr., Lillian Hartwell, Russell Lee Hale and Karl Frank Hale; and her sister Lily Tatem. She is also survived by her family, friends.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Craven Shires Funeral Home (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
