Melissa will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. She is survived by: her parents, Charlie Hartery and Jane Hartery; her husband John Maxwell; her stepdaughter Madison Maxwell; and her sister Karen Lindsey.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Springville Christian Church (163 Camden Dr, North Tazewell, VA 24630).
