With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard Wayne Lindsey of Bluefield, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Richard left this world on May 7, 2026 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lindsey and Vireda Lindsey; his wife Janet Lambert Lindsey; and his siblings, Jim Lindsey, Mike Lindsey and Jeanie Dooley.
He is survived by: his stepson Michael Lambert (Robin); his granddaughters, Tiffany Gresham (Drew) and Lana Lambert; and his great grandchildren, Virginia Gresham, Levi and Maverick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel (1231 W Cumberland Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bluefield Union Mission or to The Gideons.
