Terri Rash Obituary
Terri Lee Groseclose Rash, 42, of Boissevain, VA passed away March 26, 2023. Born in Bluefield, WV she was the daughter of Barry Mark Groseclose and the late Pamela Jean Phillips.
In addition to her mother she is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lacy and Marie Phillips and Jim and Dorothy Groseclose.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Joseph Allen Rash of the home; Father: Barry Mark Groseclose of Boissevain, VA; Children: Emilee Duncan (Dylan) and a soon to be granddaughter on the way, Tanner Boone, Baleigh Rash and Laken Thornsberry; Sisters: Melissa Gibson (Justin) of Pocahontas, VA, Ashley Miller (Dustin) of Bluefield, VA; a very special Aunt and her second Mom, Joyce "Chinky" Harrison of Boissevain, VA, Carolyn Powell of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Daris Phillips of Bristol, TN; Uncle, Dennis Phillips (Deborah) of Georgia; niece Haliee Boyles of Bluefield, VA, Nephews: Tyler Groseclose (Brittany) of Boissevain, VA and great niece Baby G on the way, Justin Woodard (Nicole) of Bluefield, VA and great niece Rylee and Baby W on the way, Gavin and Brody Gibson of Pocahontas, VA and Blake Edwards of Bluefield, VA; special friend Peggy Millner and her beloved dog Bentley aka "Big Dog".
To know Terri was to love her. You rarely saw her without a smile on her face, a smile that was truly contagious. She was a wife who had been with the love of her life, Joey for 10 years: a Mother, a Sister, an Aunt and a friend but known to most everyone as "TT". She recently learned she was getting ready to get a new nickname… "Mawmaw", and for the last little bit she had been fixated on coming up with the perfect name for herself. She loved her children more than anything; Emilee and Tanner are what she lived her life for. Her family was a big part of her life. She has many nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved dearly. She enjoyed spending time with all of the people that she loved, either at the lake or river, at the beach or pool or hanging out by a fire. You could write a book about her and how much she meant to the people that loved her but one thing is for certain; the void she leaves behind is a huge one. Everyday life without her will seem a little meaningless. We can only hope she knew just how loved and adored she truly was. We all know that one day life has to end, but we also know that love does not. Not a day will go by that she isn't loved and missed beyond measure.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Rodriguez Funeral Home in Pocahontas, VA with Rev. Reginald Blakewood and Pastor Dennis Lambert officiating. Friends may call Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Rodriguez Funeral Home in Pocahontas, VA. Terri will be cremated according to her wishes.
