She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Truman Long and Gladys Proffitt Long; her husband Ellis Garland Harrison; her siblings, Frances Shrader, Connie Newman, Larry Allen Long, Alfred "Bud" Long and Kenneth Long; her great grandchild Brandon Hicks; her children, Janis Moore (Mike) of Bluefield, Virginia and Jimmy Harrison (Tina) of Ridgeway; her sister Shirley Monger of Roanoke; her sister-in-law Dana Roberts (Clyde) of Chattanooga; her daughter Ann Long of Irmo; her grandchildren, Tammy Johnston (Natasha), Michael Hicks (Deana), Valerie Espel (Jake) and Melissa Williams (Justin); her great grandchildren, Bradley Hicks (Victoria), Travis Simms (Samantha), Christian Simms (Constance), Madison Simms (Josh), Mason Williams, Katelyn Espel, Hayley Williams, Chase Williams and Matthew Espel; and her caregivers, Jan and David Gilpin. She was also cherished by great-great-grandchildren, along with several special nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Scott Funeral Home of Tazewell (870 W Main St, Tazewell, VA 24651). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
