He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Devor and Eva Walker Devor; his wife Patricia Brinkley Devor; his brothers, Pierce E. Devor and Delmas W. Devor; his daughter Bonnie Proffitt; his granddaughter Stephanie Proffitt Haley; his son-in-law Kenny Durham; his nephew Brian Waddle; and his former wife Charlotte G. Devor.
He is survived by: his children, William Devor (Rusty), Frances Devor Durham and Christina Devor Neal (Jack) of Swansboro, NC.; his sister Wanda Waddle of Galax, VA.; his son-in-law Ronnie Proffit of Bluefield, VA.; his granddaughter Brandy Price; his great grandchildren, Kiowa Clarida, Will Clarida III, Brooke Haley and Jacob Haley (Bryana Davis); his great great grandchildren, Easton Haley, Ivory Knight, Kayana Haley and Alayna Haley; his nieces, Lori Waddle and Julie Orr; his cousin Norma Walker; his close friends, Jim, Wanda Coe, N. B. Mangus, Kenneth Powell and Wolfgang Zeisig; Michael Saunders.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dudley Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
