It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Walters of Boissevain, Virginia, who passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Howard and Polly Napier Howard; her husband Arnold Howard Walters; and her siblings, Doug Howard and Doris Gibson.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Merlo (Bernie) of Staffordsville, KY, Mary Walters Brooks (Don) of Rural Retreat, VA, Beverly Chmielewski (Don) of Jasper, TN and Arnold Walters of Boissevain, VA; and her sisters, Nancy Grable (Bill) of Kingsport, TN and Sarah Jeppson of Ewing, VA. She is also survived by 8 Grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
