The memory of Adelaide Lang of Boones Mill, Virginia, born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, who passed away on July 7, 2025 at the age of 83, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Col George Josephi Helms and Adelaide Hartfelder Helms; and her brothers, Steven L. Helms and John W. Helms. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" Lang; her sons, Christopher Lang, Andrew Lang (Fonda), Wesley Lang (Kanako) and Bradley Lang (Slone); her grandchildren, Ariel Hunker (Jacob), Mason Lang, Natalie Lang, Trevor Lang, Leighton Lang, Sutton Lang and Ibuki Lang; her sisters, Georginia Chrisman (Keith) and Connie Blair (Andy); and her sisters-in-law, Valerie Helms and Joyce Helms. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A reception was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Flora Funeral Service (665 S Main St, Rocky Mount, VA 24151).
