He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Gibson and Harriet Goss Gibson; and his siblings, Gene Edward, Otis Samuel, Lacy Gibson and Cassie Mae Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn Barker Gibson; his children, Jason Gibson (Heather) of Boones Mill, VA, Tiffany Joy of Roanoke, VA and Chasity Lopaz of Roanoke, VA; his siblings, Mary Morath (Vincent) of Roanoke, VA, Rosa Lee Lanier of Vinton, VA, Larry Gibson of Wirtz, VA, Kirby Gibson of Whitewood, VA and Clayton Gibson (Donna) of Eagle Rock, VA; and his sister-in-law Judy Gibson. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces, and numerous God children.
