She was predeceased by: her parents, Essie Ellen McDowell and Leslie Hunter Coleman; her husband Wilford L. Irwin; her former husband Rufus H. Fairchild; her daughter Rita Wanda Long; and her son-in-law Richard L. Long.
She is survived by: her sister Nancy Fay Nelson of Virginia; and her children, Richard H. Irwin and J. Linda Barker (Wesley R. Barker). She is also survived by her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and a very large extended family.
