He was predeceased by: his parents, William Silvey and Mary Eliza Sisk Peyton; and his siblings, Mary Frances Cooper, Elizabeth "Pee Wee" Smoot and Marion Peyton.
He is survived by: his wife Nina Mae Peyton; his children, Carolyn "Penny" Peyton (James Frigiola), Jonathan "Jeff" Jeffrey Peyton (Carol) and James Kendal Peyton; his grandchildren, Kamry Payne (R. W.), Hannah Peyton and Ava Peyton; his great grandchildren, Jonathan Warren "J. W." Payne and Beau James Frederick Payne; and his siblings, Betty Woodard and Andy Peyton (Julie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
