He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Sallade and Maude Sallade; his son Thomas Richard Sallade; and his siblings, Mary Alice Fleming and Frederick Sallade.
He is survived by: his wife Maureen Smyth Sallade; his children, Linda Kay Madler (Mark), Raymond Bruce Sallade (Julie Cox Sallade) of Newport News and Ross Edwin Sallade (Heather Means Sallade) of Raleigh, NC; and his daughter-in-law LeeAnne Venturino Sallade of Christiansburg, VA.. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
