She was predeceased by: her parents, Gus Liggon, Sr. and Amy Gugertha Carter Liggon; her husband Freddie E. Terry, Sr.; and her siblings, Ida Pulliam, Alfred Liggon, Fielder Liggon, Sr. and Gus Liggon, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Freddie E. Terry, Jr. (Teresa) of Nashville, NC, Dr. Frances L. Staunton of Rocky Mount, NC, Ralph Terry (Meiko) of Rocky Mount, NC and Karen Terry of South Hill, VA; and her siblings, Garland B. Liggon, Sr. (Gloria), Mallom Liggon, Sr. (Marva), William Liggon, Sr. (Cathy) and Bessie Boyd. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Giles-Harris Funeral Home (1304 N Main St, Chase City, VA 23924). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lone Oak Baptist Church (813 Lone Oak Rd, Chase City, VA 23924). A burial will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at the Silone Memorial Garden.
