She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Lester and Florence Lester Lester; her husband Henry Clarence Looney; her siblings, Jack, Isaac, Dewey, Paul, Roland, Jr., Lester, Lily Stiltner, Rosie Lovell, Lola Harrell, Penny Honaker, Roberta Goff and Nancy Lester; and her daughter-in-law Margaret Slone Looney.
She is survived by: her children, Erdil Jack Looney (Delfina) of Forest Hills, KY, Clarence Alan Looney (Wendy) of Breaks, VA and Angela Compton of Abingdon, VA; her grandchildren, Michelle Matney (Nathan), Seth Looney, Cassie Compton and Kayla Fields (Cameron); and her great grandchildren, Kaylee Matney, Karly Matney, Gray Fields and Gemma Fields.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 4th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Little Jocie Old Regular Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 4th 2026 at 7:00 PM and on Thursday, March 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
