With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine DeVries Teeter of Bridgewater, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 23, 2025 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew DeVries and Wilhelmina DeVries (DeBoer); her siblings, Joseph, George, Cynthia and Shirley; her husband Robert Lansdowne Teeter; her son Douglas Teeter; her daughter-in-law Terri Stull; and her great grandchild Zachary Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Teeter, Sara Mitchell and Alan Teeter (Anna Helkowsky); her grandchildren, Andrew Teeter, Caleb Teeter, Amanda Taylor (Vic), Gwen Dedrick (Dennis) and Diana Teeter (Rob Rich); and her great grandchildren, Marisa Taylor and Alex Taylor.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Eastlawn Memorial Gardens (3289 Spotswood Trail, Harrisonburg, VA 22801). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Bridgewater United Methodist Church (219 N Main St, Bridgewater, VA 22812).
