With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Alan Hulvey (Bridgewater, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 8, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As David departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved David. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marshall R. Hulvey and Audrey A. Bowers Hulvey; his wife Judy Runion; his children, Angela Moats (Sam) of Bridgewater and Brian Hulvey of Ashburn; his grandchildren, Logan Grace Hulvey, Ethan David Hulvey and Samuel Alan Moats; and his sister Marlene Landes of Rockingham.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home (148 E Lee St, Broadway, VA 22815). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bridgewater United Methodist Church (219 N Main St, Bridgewater, VA 22812).
