She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Tutwiler and Lillian Tutwiler (Bauserman); her husband James Edward Chaplin; her daughter Jo Ellen Wenger; her sisters, Edith Kincheloe, Lavan Linhoss and Ruth Harris; and her granddaughter Susan Wenger.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Suter (Perry) and Nancy Showalter (JB); and her grandchildren, Angela Osinkosky (Jon), Richard Wenger, Lee Shirkey (Michelle), Aaron Shirkey (Jennifer), Theresa Showalter, Russell Showalter (Jayme) and Ryan Miracle (Molly). She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
