He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Wetherell and Estella Keller Wetherell; and his siblings, Bill Wetherell and Joanne Wolfe. He is survived by: his caregiver Sue Wetherell; his children, Wade Wetherell (Jean), Douglas Wetherell, Jeffrey Wetherell (Penni) and Christy Laramay; his stepchildren, Teresa Bayes, Michael Ritchie and Jeffrey Ritchie; and his grandchildren, Misha, Brooke, Colton, Logan, Spencer, Weston, Jennifer, Emily, Paige, Allison, Bradley and Maddie. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Central Church of Christ (822 Country Club Rd, Harrisonburg, VA 22802).
