She was predeceased by: her brother Eugene Grove. She is survived by: her parents, Lurty Long and Zelma Kent Grove (Rusmisel); her husband Clayton Nathaniel Towers; her children, James Towers, Susan Anhold (David) and Jane Towers; her siblings, Ed Grove (Melody), Bonnie Grove and Connie Brown (Brian); her grandchildren, Jodie Sprayberry (Matt), Jenna Menge, Ben Anhold (Susie), Matt Anhold (Arlene) and Emily Hudson (Mike); and her great grandchildren, Sam Sprayberry, Jacqueline Sprayberry, Christopher Menge, Jonas Menge, Colton Menge, Jacob Anhold, Aubrey Anhold, Taylor Anhold, Beckett Anhold and Maddox Hudson.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bridgewater Church of the Brethren (420 College View Dr, Bridgewater, VA 22812).
In lieu of flowers, donationns can be made to Bridgewater Church of the Brethren, Bridgewater Retirement Community, or Bridgewater Volunteer Rescue Squad.
