With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry Leroy Brinkley (Bridgewater, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 6, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenna Brinkley and Hattie Brinkley; his former wife Patricia Gazzola Brinkley; his brother John Brinkley; his sister-in-law Stella; and his parents-in-law, Elsie Gazzola and James Roadcap, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Laurie Roadcap Brinkley; his children, Kenneth Brinkley (Angie), Jeremiah Brinkley (Chelsea), Kim Brooks (Carl) and Becky Brinkley; his grandchildren, Jerrica (Alain), Joseph (Kathryn), Kristen (Brett), Gage, Lindsay and Jaxx; and his mother-in-law Mary Roadcap. He is also survived by five brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, and eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Clover Hill Rescue Squad, 2100 Clover Hill Rd, Dayton, VA 22821.
