We announce the death of LaVan Tutwiler Linhoss of Bridgewater, Virginia, who passed away on June 21, 2026, at the age of 104. She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Hampton Tutwiler and Lillian Bauserman Tutwiler; her husband John C. Linhoss of Staunton; her sisters, Edith Kincheloe and Ruth Harris; and her granddaughter Tracy Hensley.
She is survived by: her children, Gary J. Hensley (Brenda) of Harrisonburg and Linda H. Harter (Joseph) of Bridgewater; her sister Marie T. Chaplin of Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Brian Harter (Mary) of Weyers Cave, Brandon Harter of Verona and Alexis Smith (Rob); and her great grandchildren, Alexandra Wassily, Joseph D. Harter, Ava, Sidney and Grayson Smith.
