He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Propst and Myrtle Propst (Mitchell); and his siblings, Ida Mary Snyder, Marilyn Propst, Velma Blondino, Charles Linaburg, Gene Rader, Harley Propst, Stanley Propst, Arnold Propst and Jerry Propst.
He is survived by: his sons, Greg Propst (Renee) of Bridgewater and Brad Propst (Megan) of Penn Laird; his brother Jesse Carroll Propst of Franklin, WV; his grandchildren, Andrew Propst (Brittany), Brieanna Propst (Devin), Brycen Propst (Grace) and Shaley Propst; and his stepgrandchildren, Natalie, Noah and Eli.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service (208 S Main St, Bridgewater, VA 22812). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bridgewater Church of the Brethren (420 College View Dr, Bridgewater, VA 22812).
