He was predeceased by: his parents, William Botkin and Vernie Botkin (Armstrong); and his siblings, Dorothy Hupman, Vergie "Peggy" James, Anna McCray, Roscoe Botkin, Sr., William Botkin and Joseph Botkin.

He is survived by: his sons, Weldon "Rusty" Botkin, Jr. (Faye) and Jerry Botkin (Carolyn); his sisters, Wilma Wimer and Alice Shifflett; his granddaughters, Katie Botkin Bensinger (Derek), Morgan Botkin Layman (Sean) and Allison Nicole Taylor (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Tucker and Landon Layman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
