He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cosby Edwards and Edna Pauline Wise Edwards; his sister Carolyn Templeton; and his daughter-in-law Patricia Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Edwards of Bristol, Virginia; his son Richard Edwards (Gail) of Bristol, Virginia; his granddaughter Lauren Kaylor (Joel) of Pennsylvania; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Ward of Salem and Pam Amos of Penhook, Virginia..
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Frost Funeral Home Chapel (250 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Mendota, Virginia.
