It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Lee Brown Sr. in Bristol, Virginia, who passed away on February 19, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Pendleton and Roy Leach Brown; and his brother William Marion "Buster" Brown. He is survived by: his girlfriend Elizabeth Hackney; and his sons, David Lee Brown, Jr. (Lorri), Timothy Todd Brown (Leilani) and Christopher Stephen Brown.
His contributions to the field of criminal justice have paved the way for many aspiring law enforcement officers.
