He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Wells and Bertha Vencill Wells; and his brother Donnie Wells. He is survived by: his children, Thad Wells (Rachel) of Dandridge, Rachel McGlothlin (Tyler) of Bristol and Hannah Culpepper (Benjamin) of Dallas; and his grandchildren, Stanton, Hankins, Lottie, Sibbie, Georgie, Harper and Isla. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cornerstone Tabernacle Church (227 Old Kentucky Turnpike, Cedar Bluff, VA 24609). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM and on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 10:45 AM. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenhills Memory Gardens (11800 Gov G C Peery Hwy, Cedar Bluff, VA 24609).
