In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Gary leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Gary may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parent Dorothy Ray of Honaker; his son Gary Shawn Ray; and his sister Rita Gayle Ray. He is survived by: his son Joshua Adam Ray (April Lopez); his brother Darryl Ray (Bonnie); and his stepsiblings, Terry Yates, Clifford Taylor, Linda Yates Atkins and Donna Lynn Yates Tiller. He is also survived by many friends and former co-workers.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Honaker Funeral Home (4686 Redbud Hwy, Honaker, VA 24260). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
