He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Wood Walden and Alice Amelia Walden; and his siblings, Thomas Walden, Jr., Robert Lee Walden, Lonnie Michael Walden, Shirley Marie Barrett and Peggy Ann Smith.
He is survived by: his sister Betty Jo Blevins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service (19415 Lee Hwy, Abingdon, VA 24210). A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Forest Hills Memory Gardens (19415 Lee Hwy, Abingdon, VA 24210).
