She was predeceased by: her parents, Garland Ray and Helen Ethel Browning; her husband Bobby Barr; her son Charles "Chuck" Gibson; and her siblings, Stella Johnson (Raylene Methvin), Gene Browning and Richard Browning.
She is survived by: her children, Regina Lynn Ridgeway, Judy Marlene Wilson, Steven Mark Barr and Robin Renee Hill (Stephen); her grandchildren, Ami Moore, Kristina Barr, Laura Singer and Brittany Barr; her great grandchildren, Ella Singer, Maya Singer, Josiah Morton and Jacob Morton; and her sister Marie Rouse. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mountain View Cemetery (1019 Valley Dr, Bristol, VA 24201).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to Shriners Childrens' in memory of Marilyn.
