He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe C. Sabo and Irene Lucretia Barnette Sabo; and his brother Joe Sabo of Knoxville, Tennessee.. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Lynn Jones Sabo; his children, Lucretia Scott (Brian) of Bristol, Tennessee, Jamie Sabo (Melinda) of St. Paul, Virginia, Michelle Bush (Josh) of Castlewood, Virginia, Danielle Hamilton (Chris) of Castlewood and David Joseph "D. J." Sabo of St. Paul, Virginia.; his grandchildren, Brandon Scott of Payton Hamilton, A. J and Brinley Hamilton; and his brothers, Johnny Sabo of Chilhowie and Tim Sabo of Wise. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
