It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Muneen J Stenberg (Bristol, Virginia), who passed away on August 28, 2025, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Johnson and Bertha Johnson; her siblings, Duane, Dewey Johnson and Marilyn Stevens; her husband Ed Stenberg; her children, Eddie Stenberg and Stephanie Jones; and her grandson Andrew Mullins.
She is survived by: her daughter Kristin Mullins (Benny); her grandchildren, Alyssa Froelich (Tom), Heather Cornwell (Richie), Amanda Lynch (Stephen), Ben Jones (Bissy) and Jason Jones (Jennifer); her great grandchildren, Zachary Elliott (Kaitlyn), Billy, Heath, Colby, Elizabeth Cornwell, Matthew Leighton-Jones, Magnolia, Quinn, Cleo Cordova-Jones, Catherine and Andrew Lynch; her great great grandchild Avery Grace Elliott; her sister Dolly Johnson; her sister-in-law Pat Johnson; and her son-in-law Barney Jones. She is also survived by cousins and many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Barter Theater, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Redeemer Lutheran Church would be greatly appreciated.
